Description

Woodlands is a grade II listed Regency building with charm and character, situated in a large garden with rolling lawns and extensive flower beds. Woodlands is for adults only and its quiet and secluded location makes it the perfect house for a restful break. Relax in one of the two generous ensuite bedrooms on offer, both of which overlook Teignmouth and the sea.
This distinctive house has an unusual curved front with many original features still in place, including an elegant central staircase. Guests are also welcome to enjoy our lounge, conservatory and unique curved veranda which has views of the garden and the sea.
We are a short walk from the railway station, which has direct links to all major UK cities, should you prefer not to drive but if you do there is plentiful and secure free parking in our driveway and the town and its amenities are within easy reach.
There are many things to do and see in Teignmouth, lovely walks and places to visit in the surrounding areas and we are only thirty minutes' drive from Dartmoor. You won't find many chain stores here but lots of great places to eat and drink and lots of one-off shops to visit, as well as a safe and clean beach. We also have a beach chalet which you can use for free during your stay.
We are pleased to say that our guests have described Woodlands as a relaxed and welcoming place to stay. One of the oldest surviving houses in Teignmouth, Woodlands has been a hotel since the 1950's and has passed through three generations of this family since 1966, so we know something about making guests feel welcome. Many of our guests have been with us for decades, we hope you will join them.
